ZMI Portec is a chemical processing group which designs and manufactures bulk chemical storage and feed systems for industrial & municipal, water and wastewater control systems. ACG Technology Ltd. is a proud representative for ZMI Portec's lime slakers, which we consider to be the most effective systems for handling bulk materials from storage to processing. They are all fully automatic, designed for easy installation and provide continuous, reliable performance in a broad range of applications.
Currently, these systems have wide acceptance in industries, producing optimum lime slurry from quicklime and hydrated lime for waste treatment of liquid and air pollutants. Slakers for lime slurry production from pebble quicklime range in production rates from 1,000 lbs. per hour to 80,000 lbs. per hour; where greater production is required, multiple slaker units can be installed.
LIME SLAKERS
- Produce 25% creamy slurry (adjustable lime and water feed rate) requiring far less storage capacity than 10% solutions.
- Eliminate need to add water that must be removed later; especially for sludge treatment.
- Slake all normally reactive pebble quicklime, powdered to 3/4".
- Avoid jamming by grit buildup.
- Contain water jacket which conserves heat to speed up slaking.
- Provide continuous monitoring and automatic control of slaking temperature.
